"I never thought of making it into the final five. Actually, I never thought that "Adopted Girl" would receive so many appraisals during the filming process. To be honest, the filming was very hectic because my screen time was increased, my character often cries, plus the dialogue is very long. On top of that, we had to rush to finish filming so it would air. Also, there was a lot of pressure during filming because we all wanted to break the curse of all sequels (sequels = lower in ratings). "Moonlight" was in competition with "Heart of Greed." Luckily, the ratings for "Moonlight" became number one in ratings for HK produced TV series."
This award is huge because it is at the top of the page with Sir Run Run's 'Ming Pao 40th Anniversary Supreme Award.' Plus, the 'Most Supported Artiste Award' was picked by readers/supporters from 45 nominees in the three categories of music, movie, and TV. In the past, Jessica Hsuan won it three times and Leo Ku has won it twice.

TVB celebrated its 41st Anniversary Extravaganza on 19th the other night. They have received an index rating of 34, peaked at 37, pulling 2,330,000 viewers. But the show on "Moonlight Resonance" resulted TVB receiving 8 complaints from the public viewers.
In the show, Eric was seen throwing cream cake randomly at other people and Moses was attacked from behind by Christine Ng who kept touching his chest. They had 2 complaints about the cake throwing saga, stating that act was cheap and wasting food. The other complaint was about female artist touching male artist as indecent and unprofessional. The TV complaint department had also received 5 complaints, including the food wastage and the indecent acts by male artist dressed up as female who was attacked by a female actress from behind.

Celebrating its ninth year, the CCTV-MTV Music Honors was ablaze with the star-studded line-up of top Asian artists. With a nearly 6000-strong audience, the 9th CCTV-MTV Music Honors proudly presented the big winners of each honor which took place at the Beijing Worker's Gymnasium at 7.30pm on November 17.
The 9th CCTV-MTV Music Honors was different from those of the previous years. Interchanging with Hip-hop music and performances, Chinese elements were introduced throughout the Show such as Beijing Opera, Taichi and Chinese drums.
CCTV-MTV Music Honors gives recognition to artists for their contributions to the music industry in Mainland China. Fans voted for the winners of six awards, including Most Popular Male/Female Artist of the Year in Mainland China, Most Popular Male/Female Artist of the Year in Hong Kong and Most Popular Male/Female Artist of the Year in Taiwan. Viewers were also given the chance to vote for the host of this year's show.

"The Host" is next to be remade by Hollywood

The Hollywood list of Korean remakes is expanding rapidly; latest addition to the list will be Bong Joon-ho's "The Host". Pirates of the Caribbean director Gore Verbinski will produce the Hollywood remake of "The Host" and he will team up with Fredrik Bond who will direct. Bond directed commercials for major brands and "The Host" remake will be his first shot at directing a feature film. Verbinski and Bond will be backed by Universal Pictures.
"The Host" premiered at Festival de Cannes where it was critically appraised. The film became the most successful Korean film at the time, was invited by film festivals around the world, and was cinematically released in the U.S., Japan, and China. BONG's 2006 monster film is known for its incorporation of numerous allusions to contemporary Korean society in its story. The remake will be written by Mark Poirier (Smart People).
Prior to his Pirates of the Carribean trilogy, Verbinski directed the remake of the Japanese horror film The Ring. Shin Yun-bok, the famed folk painter of the late Joseon Kingdom (1392-1910), has received much attention in recent months. It all started last year when a best-selling novel described the male artist as secretly being a woman.
In truth, there is little historical documentation of Shin's life, and none that questions his gender. Nevertheless, the fictional work was popular and provocative enough that it was made into the successful television drama, "The Painter of Wind", as well a new feature film.
If "Painter of the Wind" is a family-friendly version of the historical fiction, then the film, "Portrait of a Beauty", is its steamy, adults-only twin. While the TV series stars the perpetually wholesome Moon Geun-yeong in the lead role, the film features the sexy and feminine actress Kim Min-seon.
Unlike Moon, Kim doesn't quite convince the audience that she is trying hard to pass herself off as a "he". However, this is not a problem in "Portrait", which is less interested in the issue of pretense and more interested in exploring Shin's repressed feminine side. Kim's Shin may be effeminate ..... As mentioned in the previous post about Go Hyun-jung’s new sageuk that the upcoming year would showcase three prominent sageuk dramas starring three famous actresses, and the first of those has just revealed its posters. (The other two dramas are Go’s Queen Seon-deok for MBC and Jung Ryeo-won’s SBS series Princess Ja-myung. I’m going to put my bets on Cheon-chu being the big winner, although Seon-deok has some experienced names behind the cameras.)
Here’s our first glimpse at the official posters for KBS’s Empress Cheon-chu, starring the awesome veteran actress Chae Shi-ra (Emperor of the Sea, Invisible Man Choi Jang-soo).
The drama will take over the weekend slot from recently ended Great King Sejong; it’ll premiere on January 3.
