- Serious debates about political, society, or any important issues. Only serious replies! Off-topic posts will be removed. The topicstarter have to write a profound debate-foundation.

Only members and above can start a topic in this forum.
The topicstarter starts the debate with an intro to the subject and also state his own opinion.
No flaming of eachother. Use arguments to proof your point.
Mindlessly throwing out facts is not a way of debating. Use facts and sources to enhance your opinion, but don't make them your main point.
If you quote other sources, make sure that you quote only relevant parts. But don't distort the source. (if a quote is like "Something something BUT....", then make sure to quote the but-part too.)
The crew won't interfere with the debates (but are allowed to participate if they want), however there is an absolute NO OFF-TOPIC policy here. All off-topic replies will either be deleted or moved to another forum.
An argumentsposts has to be a certain limit, because you don't want posts to be more than a page.
The rule of the thumb. One post should not take more than the size of the fast reply box.
However short replies are not allowed, for example if quoting someone else post and reply with a short comment, then better wait for more to post your comments at once

Use the Search function before you are starting any topic! Similar topics will be merged or deleted.
Do not start "listing-topics", which only invites short replies. Depending on the state of the topic (has it developped some discussion ground) we will decide wether just to weed it out or move it all together to the Slowchat Fiesta.
Write descriptive topic titles, which clearly explains what your question/problem is.
Explain further in your first post what you want to ask
State your own opinion in your topic if you aren't asking for advice.
If possible ask posters come with an explanation or to state reasons.

Replies

Give good answers and if possible find external articles whenever it's needed to backup your statement.
Do not flame or offending other members, you will receive warning points if you break the rules.
