[edit] What is a stop message?

When a mod finds an user spamming or other annoying things, they used to PM that user. However, these PMs are often ignored. And now, AF-newbies, by far the usergroup that is causing the most problems, can't use the PM-system anymore.

So AF-crew needed a system to prevent the user to continue doing stupid things. That's where the stopmessage (SM) system comes in.

When a user receives a stopmessage, they won't be able to do anything on the forum (and in later phase, the complete AF-network), not reading topics, not replying, hell, they don't even get to SEE the site.

Receiving a stopmessage
If you enter the forum and you have a stopmessage, you will be redirected to read your message. You can't continue if you still have messages you haven't agreed on reading.

You will see a list of unread messages, reading a message will show you another screen with the message. you have to click the button to agree to the message.

Rules:
Stopmessages are the final solution before a warning, so the mod use it only if they really need to stop someone from doing stupid things. If the stopmessages has been sent out and the person has read and agreed to it, but continues doing the same stupid things, the crew can give an official warning point+account suspension.

Stopmessages can't be deleted. They will follow you forever, just like warning points.
