What kind of servers did AF had?

  • We started with a shared server, a pentium 4 1.6GHz with 1GB of RAM in begin 2004
  • Then we moved to 2 Celeron 2.4Ghz servers with 512MB RAM each around april 2004. One was the main, the other was the backup/radioserver.
  • We upgraded the main server to a Pentium4 2.4GHZ with 1GB ram somewhere near summer 2004.
  • In september 2004, we've upgraded the server with 1GB extra RAM.
  • From march 2005, we've upgraded to an Opteron 146 with 2GB RAM. Together with he old Pentium 4 2.GHz server as fileserver
  • As of begin 2006, we're running on an Dual Opteron 246 with 3GB RAM as DB-server, a Dual Opteron 246 with 2GB RAM as dedicated webserver and a Via 2.4GHz1 GB RAM as fileserver/backupserver
  • Starting from 2007, we will be running on a Dual Opteron 246 with 3GB RAM as DB-server, a Dual Opteron 246 with 2GB RAM + a DualCore Opteron 275 2GB RAM as two loadbalanced servers.A Via 2.4GHz1 GB RAM acts as fileserver/backupserver. This will cost us 750 dollars in total, monthly.
