A. Commonly downloaded file types + Related Programs

CD Images (image copies of original CD): format and the program(s) used to burn it

B. Watch downloaded video files on your computer

Commonly used programs:


Codecs:

K-Lite Codec Pack - This codec pack contains everything you need to be able to playback the most popular audio and video formats(DivX, XviD, AC3, WMV, WMA, MP3, MPEG2). Warning! If you install all codecs and filters you may get video playback problem. Only install the ones you need.


Other useful programs for handling CD images:

Isobuster - use it to open CD Image files and extract the DAT/MPG files. Daemon Tools - virtual CD/DVD-ROM emulator. It is able to emulate nearly all known copy protections on the market today. Mount BIN/CUE, ISO, NRG, IMG... iso files as a virtual CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive and watch or install without burning to CD. Alcohol 120% - same as above


How to handle dual-language audio:

Easy Method - Open up your Volume Control (Start>Programs>Accessories>Entertainment>Volume Control) and under Master Volume, adjust the Balance scroll bar all the way to the right or or all the way to the left depending on the language you want. Slightly Better Method - Open your video file in Media Player Classic. Right-click on the screen, then Audio>Options>Filters>Audio-Switcher>un-check Front Left or Front Right
